The first page of
http://www.tei-c.org/release/doc/tei-p5-doc/en/Guidelines.pdf says this:

###

ACH-ALLC-ACL Text Encoding Initiative Now entirely revised and expanded

(Those characters that didn't copy and paste correctly are typographical
glyphs for purely presentational effect. You can ignore them for the
purposes of this discussion, though a side question would be whether we
can and should stop inserting these since they make the PDF less
searchable.)

I can't find anything following "TEI P5: Guidelines for Electronic Text
Encoding and Interchange" anywhere in the HTML version of the
Guidelines, making me think it's hard-coded somewhere in the process
that creates the PDF. That would be a shame since it means that these
two versions of the Guidelines differ in content, not just rendering.
Furthermore, since I think we all agree that we want to encourage people
to cite the HTML version and not just the PDF version (by page number!),
it would be good if we had not only

online but also a

http://www.tei-c.org/release/doc/tei-p5-doc/en/html/TitlePageRecto.html

that included this stuff. I'm open to this information instead being
included somewhere at
http://www.tei-c.org/release/doc/tei-p5-doc/en/html/index-toc.html , but
I'm not sure where else to put it.
