Well, if that address is meant to go anywhere it ought probably to go 
the Council, since the role of "editor" was abolished several years ago. 
And Syd hasn't been involved officially for years either!

But since, as I said, it hasn't delivered anything but spam for years, I 
cannot see any reason to prolong its life.

Surely all this proves is that addresses on fairly static web pages are 
likely to be harvested for spambots?

The only place this address appears in the Guidelines is as an example 
in the spec for the email element, which I have just zapped it.
