Hi All,
In general, I like it. I have a suggestion though
11.1.3
"The elements surface, surfaceGrp, and zone were introduced above in section 11.1 Digital Facsimiles." true, but there we have not described, for instance that zone can contain text or line, etc. etc. I think we should mention the difference in the recommended content for <zone>. Something is mentioned below ("… any group of tokens may be indicated using the zone element") but I think it should be more clear.
We need to add a discussion about the opening. I have prepared another example of the zonification of a page of Proust, the one chosen by Lou (attached). The URL is http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b6000131k/f45.image.r=fonds+proust+N
Colore refer to macro times of elaboration: first purple, then green, then red. Blue is for the pages within the opening.
The zone marked in red on the left contains a marginal note (a metamark perhaps? Not sure: the author is pondering where to move the full episode) which refers to the top purple box and reads:
<line>Décidément je crois que cette promenade à l’Ile</line>
<line>ne sera que quand je m’amuse déjà avec Albertine. Ainsi</line>
<line>une partie…</line>
I hope this helps! Lou, if you need more details, let me know.
Best
Elena
