As an aside to this, can I ask what the status is of the UK site? I
never viewed it strictly as a 'mirror' of the .org (US, International,
whatever we should call it) site. I always just assumed that, although
it functioned as a mirror of the main site, it was always unofficially
so. More of a preview / development site than strictly a mirror. Is it
listed as such on the website? How are users meant to know they have it
as an option? I'm just curious, since I'm sure all this pre-dates my
involvement with the TEI.

I don't disagree in any way that the content of the website, and its
structural organisation would not benefit from careful reorganisation.
