And I recall a time when Beverly Axelrod bailed me out a Sacramento jail. I
had been in a fist fight with local right winger who assaulted me because he
didn't like the magazine I distributing at a support march for grape workers.
Ms Axelrod showed up out of no where and I was cut loose. We became very good
friends and I remember her showing me some letters from a prisoner in San Q
who she was trying to get released. The correspondence between the prisoner
and the lawyer was very strong and very revolutionary. His name was Eldridge
Cleaver and one day the letters would be edited into Soul On Ice. --Stew
