The sixties produced a lot of important vital ideas and a lot of wacky
ones. I should think anyone interested in sixties culture would be
interested in helping defend the good ideas and becoming clear about what
was wrong with the bad ideas. Horowitz is full of arguments attacking all
kinds of sixties ideas. People who think the things Horowitz attacks are
important and defensible can surely benefit by carefully formulating a
defense (as Jeffrey Blankford recently did).
Surely discussions are more interesting if all the parties involved arent
    already in agreement about everything.

    Just my two cents worth.
