I wonder if any on this list has seen or read Staughton Lynd's new book,
Living Inside Our Hope: A steadfast radical's thoughts on rebuilding the
movement (Ithaca: ILR Press, 1997). Mostly a collection of published
essays and papers, it's partially autobiographical and partially a call
for descendants of the Movement in the 1960s to root their efforts in the
working class. Lynd draws on his experiences as a labor lawyer in
Youngstown, a position he has had since he was fired from Yale in the late
1960s for visiting Hanoi. I just wonder if anyone has seen it or even a
review.
