JC> John Unsworth confirms that is correct amount.

Just to be clear, John confirms that 100% of the GSA amount ($51,
rounded up to $60) is what we should be using:

JU> You're correct, Syd. The per diem is not calculated at 70% but at
JU> 100% of the GSA rate, for domestic travel. Pass it on...

SB> Just want to make sure I'm getting this right. I think we're all in
SB> agreement that the GSA M&I rate for Durham is $51. But Martin (and
SB> the rest of Council, I think) is working under the assumption that
SB> the TEI per diem is 70% of that (i.e., $35.70, barely enough for
SB> dinner alone). But according to
SB> http://www.tei-c.org/Board/procedures.xml#PerDiem the GSA rate is
SB> not subject to the 70% bit, and is in fact rounded up (in this case
SB> to $60). (It is the US Dept of State international rate that is
SB> subject to 70%.)

Thus $16.80 (max) per lunch.
