Ticket booked.

On a scale from zero ("a burden best avoided") to 10 ("essential
if you want to do anything or go anywhere"), where would
Durham rank as regards arriving with a (presumably hire/rental)
car?

Oxford is about 1, London 0, Ann Arbor ca. 3-5, I think (very limited
public transport outside the city limits, but even more limited
parking); Lincoln Neb. about 9. IMO.
