Well, I'm not sure where it should link to when it isn't the
public release... having it point somewhere different when an
alpha/beta release just seems like we're setting up problems in
the future. Unless we also create the Readme-2.6.0.xml release
notes template at the same point as we change the version number?
If that were the case I would say in the footer text:
"Version 2.6.0alpha. Last updated on 14th November 2013, revision
12623"

1) The word "Version" should link to
"release/doc/tei-p5-doc/en/html/AB.html#ABTEI4" (except that 'en'
should be the current language code).

2) The version number "2.6.0alpha" or equivalent should point to
"release/doc/tei-p5-doc/readme-2.6.0.html" i.e. should point to
the potential release notes removing the 'alpha' and 'beta' or
whatever.

3) The date '14th November 2013' or equivalent should link to the
same place as #2 but only because I can't think of a better
place. (suggestions?)

4) The revision number '12623' should be a link to
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/$revisionnumber/tree/trunk/P5/
where $revisionnumber is the last revision number. I tested this
with a couple revision numbers but we will need to double-check
it works properly.

I believe it is... Compare
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/12623/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/12300/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/10300/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/8300/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/5300/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/4000/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/300/tree/trunk/P5/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/10/tree/trunk/
http://sourceforge.net/p/tei/code/2/tree/trunk/

When you first load quite old revisions it sometimes seems to lag
a bit more the first time it loads a very old revision, sometimes
it timed out, but then on refresh got it straight away. It also
seems to take a minute or so after check in before the revision
is fully available to browser.
