[tei-council] TEI schema (fwd)

Could someone on Council volunteer to reply to this query? (I can give them the 
short answer, "Yes, TEI and EPUB are compatible", but can't fill in the details 
they probably want.)

We at The United Methodist Publishing House are exploring options for XML schema that is compatible with EPUB. Is TEI compatible with EPUB? Is there a TEI schema, per se, or does each House develop their own?
