Theirs is actually a serious proposal, and well-tested, with a solid 
suite of tools. Designed for linguistic annotation (PDF linked from my 
first message). The point is that it's so good that they needn't have to 
resort to this kind of careless bashing. But they did, and coming from 
serious people, the claims unfortunately may look serious to some.
