Hi all,

One of the things I was tasked with in Ann Arbor that fell to the 
bottom of my to-do list was: "JC will reply to the message on 
TEI-L: In light of the current text and examples in the 
Guidelines on <floatingText> and <spGrp> , we’d like examples of 
proposed “floating divs” and how they would differ from 
<floatingText> s."

Being a cautious sort, I've drafted up my response and put it here:
