Hi all,

For the last two days of the three-day council face2face (19-21
September) in Oxford, I've booked us into Wolfson College. The
first day we will spend in OUCS. See
http://www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk/conference

Ensuite Accommodation is also available at Wolfson College for
those who need it and have not already booked elsewhere, and
includes breakfast. As with the hotel in Ann Arbor, we will pay
for the accommodation and claim it back as a block from TEI-C
which should result in some cost efficiencies. Wolfson, while
quite modern itself, is in a very pretty location and a short
countryside walk to a nice pub.

Please email your requirements to events at wolfson.ox.ac.uk quoting
'TEI Council Meeting' as soon as possible. (Possibly CC'ing me
in on the initial email so I know that you have done so.)

Some information about the Wolfson College accommodation is below:

WOLFSON COLLEGE SUMMER B&B and HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION

Here at Wolfson, we offer summertime accommodation – both on a
short-stay “B&B” basis, and also for longer term holiday lets. In
Summer 2012, bedrooms are available from 9th August through to
25th September.

As a modern College, built in the mid-1970’s, all accommodation
is in contemporary buildings. The bedrooms used for guest
bookings are in our most recent buildings, well decorated and
well maintained. Bedrooms are single rooms, all en-suite; not
“posh” but very comfortable, immaculately clean (as is the whole
of the College), well furnished and decorated. They are serviced
(weekdays daily for B&B, weekly for long lets), with linens,
towels, welcome toiletries and internet provided. A particularly
attractive feature is that bedrooms are grouped in sets of 9
along a corridor, with a large shared “Common Room” comprising
Kitchen/Lounge at the end. These have all modern appliances, and
provide a very attractive and pleasant space for informal
socialising and relaxing, with tea trays provided. A limited
quantity of on-site parking is available, by prior arrangement.
There is 24 hour access, and a very warm welcome.

For those on a “B&B” August booking, breakfast is served in the
College’s modern dining Hall with its very striking “pyramid”
ceiling. Breakfast cuisine is a seasonal and hearty buffet
spread, enhancing the usual Continental format with trays of
sliced meats and cheeses and fruit platters. Seating is at
attractively laid tables, and hot drinks are served by attentive
waiting staff.

Located in affluent, residential North Oxford, Wolfson is only a
5 minute bus ride from the City Centre – but feels like rustic
English countryside. The College grounds are green and beautiful,
with lush lawns leading down to a private harbour. A rainbow
arch bridge over the River Cherwell leads to open meadow land.
It’s a scenic and relaxing summertime setting, with a multitude
of wild birds and blossoms, yet the convenience of Summertown’s
shops and amenities just a short walk away.

Rates depend on number of rooms booked and length of stay, with
pricing very good value indeed and payment terms very flexible.
The booking process is very easy – simply email or phone:
