well, it does mean the IDs are out of sync with the file name. it is no coincidence
the thing is called MS-ManuscriptDescription.xml, and generates MS.html

should it change to MSS.html?

gosh yes. tinkering with all the generating HTML would be vile,
and regenerating almost impossible.
