I'm actually somewhat uneasy about the possible interpretations of this
last clause. On the one hand it sounds like a nice safeguard against
lame enterprises that try to use the TEI's shoulders to appear larger
than they are. On the other, does that mean that every TEI-based project
will now have to obtain a written permission to be able to say that it
is TEI-based?

Of course this boils down to the interpretation of "endorse" and
"promote". Hmm.
