Dear Martin,

This is correct, but my understanding is that the conversation has been 
focusing mainly on the semantics of the pointer mechanism. What does it 
imply at processing level?
- fetch the object, include it in TEI, produce final result;
- fetch the object, process it, include it in the final result or;
- only produce a reference to the object also in the final result.
