Nah, its that I changed ISP and the site is trying to SMTP to my old 
ISP's server. Since it is all about to go to a commercial secure host, I 
figured there was no point wasting time troubleshooting the error on the 
development server. And it provides a nice check to make sure everybody 
realises nothing is actually happening.

I was wondering about that. We probably should ask for country code. 
I'll just need to check what algorithm it's using to check validity.
