I did think this must have been a bigger issue than a dropped word.... 
No time for debates now. I do agree that TEI should not limit its 
application to any disciplinary boundaries, but we cannot not recognise 
that is the formalisation of methodologies related to the analysis of 
texts in the humanities that made TEI what it is now and it is in that 
context that its recommendations are made fruitful.

Again no time for finding solutions to these problems now, so I think a 
link to Sourceforge would be enough here, but we do need to think of how 
to summarise changes every time there is a new release in a more 
narrative way in the future.

The discussion on TEI list during the recent months demonstrated how 
much this is needed and although this was a special situation, I believe 
we need to tackle the issue of documenting changes in a stable manner, 
no matter how minor these changes may be.
