[tei-council] Re: @xml:space in TEI P5?

I am not sure we *can* be this cautious. The quartet of xml: attributes are
allowed on any XML element by fiat of the W3, correct? In which case we
must declare them in our schemas, or our documents become invalid
if someone legitimately uses xml:space.

If we *dont* include the attributes, we set ourselves up in opposition
to the W3C, is the way I read it.
