I've updated the document on classes following our discussions inb Kyoto 
last week as follows:
- decisions taken at meeting are now flagged as <note type="action"> and 
I plan to implement them forthwith
- the additional suggestions from Dot and Susan, and from John and Syd 
have been added, with some annotation from me et al. Please review, and 
then comment on these on the list as soon as possible.
