Thanks. Following your exact instructions, on the last leg I get this:
<code>
perl -p -i -e 's/\(\%schemapattern;\)\?/%schemapattern;/' DTD/tagdocs.dtd
perl -p -i -e 's/\)\*\(/\)\*,\(/' DTD/textstructure.dtd

roma "--localsource=Source-driver.xml" --nodtd --noxsd --xsl=/tmp/tei/share/xml/tei/stylesheet/ --teiserver=http://tei.oucs.ox.ac.uk/Query/ p5odds.odd .

This is a bit odd (pardon the pun), since the stuff sits there under
/tmp/tei and just waits to be used:

Well, I think Sebastian will need to look on this once more.
But anyhow, except for this little glitch, I am now able to get a
working P5 on my Mac OS powerbook following these instructions. Heureka!
However, the non-obvious pre-requisites (Saxon, perl, trang, jing,
xmllint) are not mentioned in the doc -- it would be convenient to
point people to the relevant locations.
And before we announce this to TEI-L, it would be good if some brave
soul could try this out on a Windows machine...
All the best,
Christian
