There has not been any radical activity on the META front since the last
Council phone call.
The decision made then was to consolidate the ODD format by working on
the processors,
so many revisions have been made to Roma and the ODD-processing XSLT
stylesheets.
The results have been contained in CD distributions made for the members
meeting,
a course run by Lou and Laurent in Tunis, and a course run by James and
Sebastian
in London. Roma is now becoming increasingly stable as it gets more
thorough testing.
There are two major activities to undertake in the next 3 months:
1. Assuming the Council agrees to switch to @xml:id etc, the processing
system for ODDs will
require an important revision and re-testing.
2. The class system can now be overhauled, with each class being examined
for
* naming
* function
* membership
It is proposed to convene an ad hoc working party to
do this in a concentrated face to face meeting.
