The story of Phil Ochs getting kicked out of Dylan's cab is true. The issue
was over Phil not liking a new song Dylan had just composed. Dylan kicked him
out of the car. Ochs was right - that particular Dylan number proved quite
forgetable. But Ochs did think that Dylan was a truly great writer. Phil
drank too much and became quite dillusional. He killed himself and is greatly
missed by his friends.
