But that doesn't answer either of my two questions:

1. And what was the nature of the 1961 "attack"? Was
it just surveillance or did it involve dirty tricks?

2. Did the attack escalate after King started speaking
out against the war?

And what is your reference for your statement about
the 40s and 50s?
