I am a student at Amherst College and have just begun work on a major
research paper for my history course on Women and Politics in
Twentieth Century America. I have chosen to explore the role of women
in the Civil Rights Movement, probably with an emphasis on women in
SNCC. As I have just begun my search, I would really appreciate any
guidance you might be able to offer, including suggestions of books,
articles, documents, and other resources I should obtain and people I
should contact. Any help you might be able to offer would be most
appreciated. As a woman, a student, and one who has always had a deep
interest in civil rights, I am very excited to explore the activism of
a time as fascinating as the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. Please
contact me at ahkoch@amherst.edu you have any suggestions that would
aid me in my research. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Aimee Koch
