We are a theatre company doing a 30th Ann. production of HAIR in NYC. Our
conceptual idea for this prodction is truly an historical outlook. Our
production will begin with a true living enviornment of late 1967 thru 1968.
This will give our audience a brief taste of these couple of years and the
effect the show played with the political and social qualities of life.
My questions are; what would you believe to be the major historical events of
late '67 thru '68, and how did these events effect the hippie movement? Also
what are some things you feel are important for an audience to learn, in
order to understand the time period and messages of HAIR?
