Soglin retired last year. Didn't do well in his last election. But he was
mayor for a long time There should be considerable information on him if
you search the Capital Times and the Wisconsin State Journal. They did
extensive features on him going back to the 60s as he stepped away from
politics. Features included information of the Dow riots.
Reference should be able to locate tons of material.
Perhaps a call to the papers: TIMES 608-252-6400 and JOURNAL 608-252-6200.
Probably get most help from the Times. Or call Soglin at his office:
608-266-4611.
His address if Paul Soglin, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Madison, Wi 53701.
Wisconsin Historical Society Library Reference Desk is 608-264-6535. One of
the great 60's collections.
