In the 70s I read several novels by M.F. Beal, as well as some shorter pieces,
that I felt captured the historical and social moment of the 60s/early 70s in
both political and interpersonal dimensions that made literary sense at the
time. What happened to M.F. Beal? Does anyone remember her/him?
