Der Lydia Simpson,
For poetry lby viet Nam vets, you might look at the number of volumes by
Bruce Weigl and Playing Basketball with the Viet Cong_, a debut book by
Kevin Bowen. (Both Weigl and Bowen have poems in the new series of
Streetfare Journal--poetry posters in busses). George Evans has a long poem
that is included in _The Other Side of Heaven_. Kevin Bowen is Director of
the the Joiner Center for the Study of War and Its Social Consequences,
UMass-Boston, 100 Morrissey Blvd, Boston, MA 02124 and hosts a summer
writers workshop that includes a number of vets/writers as teachers--he
would be a wealth of information.
Best,
Alex
