Hey Karen!

I lived in Maine at the time and therefore was pretty close to Hugh
Romney's place in Vermont (Hugh being Hog Farm's leader); Hugh and I
spoke and exchanged letters with some frequency after he came back from
Nepal (I think) quite ill. About a dozen of us were creating a commune on
property that had formerly been a government Conservation Corps camp
slightly north of Damariscotta, Maine. And a related group of people had
already formed a commune at DeBerry's Farm in Phipsburgh, Maine. I am
sorry to say that I have none of the letters left to share with you, but I
can tell you that Hugh was a super person eager, even in illness to help
others out.

What kind of material are you looking for?

Happy to help in a modest way.

Charles
