Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at Horowitz, but it begins in the late si
xties. Rorabaugh was missing. Do you know if it has anything useful in it? I
can get it from interlibrary loan, but hate to spend my credits for a book that
is not on point. 1963-64 seems to be a big gap in the Berkeley/Bay Area litera
ture. Some wrote about 1959-62, and many wrote from the FSM onward. Yet the
year that was the true origins of the FSM is untouched? I can't even find a
dissertation on it! Or an article in Readers Guide!
