I think W.J. Rorabaugh, __Berkeley at War__ goes into some of the
student radicals and maybe the BPP. It might be a little too late
for what you're doing, but it might be useful (I haven't looked at
it for quite a while). Also, you might check out Peter Collier and
David Horowitz __Destructive Generation__ 1989. It's kind of a whiny
neo-conservative/former radical retrospective of the radical movements
in Calif. during the 1960s. They might be a nice source to react
against (if you're a liberal, that is). Unfortunately, most of the lit.
on the Bay Area is really about the post 1965 era. If I find something
new, I'll send a post.
