Regents of Universities, etc.

Actually, there was a pamphlet on the Regents of the University of
California done much earlier.

A predecessor of this was Hal Draper's "The Mind of Clark Kerr", an
analysis of the policies of the then-president of the U of Calif.
Draper originally presented this as a talk for the Independent
Socialist Club at UCBerkeley, which was attended by (among others)
Mario Savio and Jack Weinberg, and provided much of the material for
Savio's famous speech from the police car at the beginning of the
Free Speech Movement.

See also, "The Dirt on California", by Hal and Anne Draper, dealing
with university alliances with agribusiness and the attempt to
suppress or ridicule Rachel Carson's _Silent Spring_.
