Guys,

I like the simple, short, no scrolling necessary front page of your
homepage. The solar logo is very crisp. It is also very good that
you give the viewer a text only vs. graphics version choice right off, so
that those at home with slow modems don't have to sit at their computers
and watch the grass grow while the page loads up.

Stylistically speaking, there are a couple of things that could be
improved. First is the front page (main, whatever you want to call it)
background graphic. While I am all for psychedelic colors, they are very
strong and clash with solar logo a bit much. I know that we should have
backgrounds that contrast heavily with the text and logos to avoid
browsers mixing up like shades, however I think that the background could
stand being a little bit more in tune with the logo colors. How about
making the backgound a very dim psychedelic-like design of pale (VERY
PALE) oranges, reds, and yellows, and then make the logo all black? I
don't know, I would have to see it up to judge it. Following the same
logic, you should change the link colors from blue to a color that stand
out more against the background.

Another think that I would suggest is having a short explanation of what
the page is and to whom it belongs. As it stands right now, a
passerby would have no idea what he is looking at.

Navigationally, it looks good, although that will be fully determined once
the entire page is up.

That's it for now. See you in class.

Paola
