[adhoc] conference protocol

ADHO SC members:

Our next item of business is the conference protocol. The schedule
already established calls for us to discuss this during the next two
weeks, with a vote (again, on whether to recommend the document for
final approval by the ALLC and ACH execs at the Victoria meetings) by
EOB Wed., May 11th.

The current state of the conference protocol is at:

These documents need to be updated to reflect decisions already made on
things like naming (ADHO instead of IFDiSH), and I know that Harold had
a couple of suggestions in March that I think have not been
communicated yet in writing. I urge Harold, first of all, to send me
changes and I will put up a side-by-side display that facilitates
comparison of previous and current versions, as with the governance
protocol; I encourage all of us on this list to review and engage the
document, and especially those who will vote on it, on May 11th--and
there's no need to wait for the side-by-side version in order to begin
discussing possible changes to the current state, of course.

If this is a topic on which it would be helpful to have a conference
call with voting members, I am happy to set that up: just let me know
(and when you do, please suggest all times between now and May 11 when
you could spend an hour on the phone).
