         Subject: silence from Humanist

Dear colleagues:

The continuing silence from Humanist is not due to my absence, as
this message attests, rather to a defective College server or some
other such cause. Presumably messages are accumulating and will see
the light of day soon. When normal service resumes, so will Humanist.
Watch out then for any messages you have posted.

Yours,
WM
