    A favourite of mine is the original acronym for PC Cards, which was
    PCMCIA. It was meant as an acronym for Personal Computer Memory Card
    International Association, but an alternate meaning evolved, and one
    easier to remember: People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms.
