I am very pleased to annouce that the Modern Language Association's
Committee on Scholarly Editions has released its Guidelines for Electronic
Scholarly Editions.

Questions, comments, and suggestions should be addressed to:

What is now needed is list of recommended software packages for carrying
out the Guidelines.
