Subject: Final CFP: Translation/Culture/Theory
STUDIES IN THE HUMANITIES will publish a special number on
Translation. Articles are invited on such topics as:
* Translation theory
* The cultural impact of translations
* Cultural and ideological factors in translation
* Translation of sensitive texts
* Literary theory and translation
* Historical studies of translation
* Studies of individual translations as translations
Articles should show a scholarly and/or theoretical awareness of
the issues involved in translation. (Purely technical articles
or actual translations are not solicited.) Works should be
original, not previously published.
The special number is planned for December 1995. Completed work
must be received by September 1995 for consideration in this
issue.
STUDIES IN THE HUMANITIES is a biannual scholarly journal
publishing studies in literature, film, aesthetics, and literary
theory. We follow the latest MLA style, using in-text citations
whenever possible. The average paper length is 4,000 words.
Three copies of the paper (hard copies of the paper are required)
should be submitted to:

Submissions will be peer reviewed in a blind review process.
