Dear TEI Council
Those on the 2013 Council are, I hope, looking forward to the
face-to-face meeting in Oxford. (New members are welcome to
attend by skype/google hangout/etc. if they wish.)
As part of organising this I've been attempting to narrow down
the choices for evening meal locations and have put some into the
Council Agenda. See further down for the link to a doodle poll
to narrow down the eating choices.

You'll also note that I've put in a skeleton schedule that
alternates between general discussion sessions where you should
put topics (I've not moved any of the ones from the bottom of the
page yet) and SourceForge Tickets sessions.
On the Sunday 10 November I thought that we should have an
informal evening arrangements since you may all be getting in at
different times. For that evening I've decided I'm going to go to
The Royal Oak pub http://www.theroyaloakoxford.co.uk/ 42-44
Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HT which is a very short walk from
Rewley House (where most people are staying). I'll be there from
6pm'ish and will plan to order food at some point. (They serve
food until 10pm). It isn't my favourite pub in Oxford, but it is
close and the food isn't terrible. Feel free to turn up, or not
turn up, entirely informally.
On the evening of Monday 11th I've made the suggestions of:
-- "Bamboo", Korean restaurant, photos of menu at
https://plus.google.com/photos/105468124820294977561/albums/5940634552368529473
Has some veggie dishes, but not loads.
-- "Sojo", Szechuan/Shanghainese/Cantonese restaurant, website at
http://www.sojooxford.co.uk/ claims vegetarian menu on request.
-- "Bangkok House", Thai restaurant, selection of vegetarian
dishes, http://www.bangkokhouse.co.uk/
On the Tuesday evening, we'll be going to Sebastian's lovely
house in Summertown around 8pm. He'll provide directions and
description of that evening's menu close to the date. I'll walk
people from somewhere convenient to wait, like The Royal Oak, up
to his house which will take about 30 minutes. (I can also
provide bus instructions).
While some people may be leaving on the Wednesday, I think many
of you are staying over so that evening I've made the suggestions
of:
-- "Chutney's Indian Brasserie", Mostly Bangladeshi Food, Fair
amount of vegetarian food, http://www.chutneysoxford.co.uk/
-- "Al-Andalus Tapas Bar", Tapas, selection of vegetarian,
http://www.tapasoxford.co.uk/
-- "Pierre Victoire", French, limited vegetarian choices,
http://www.pierrevictoire.co.uk/
-- "Branca", Overpriced Italian, limited vegetarian choices,
http://www.branca.co.uk/
-- Some British Pub, undecided
If those attending the meeting would please fill out this quick
poll of which of the above they might prefer then I'll try to
take their dietary preferences into consideration when booking.
