this would not affect them. if you make a <valList> with <valItem>/@ident s which has
spaces, then your datatype is no longer data.enumerated. But that is true already. We
would _extend_ the number of people who could keep using data.enumerated,
as would now allow in the "1671" crowd (louche lot that they are).
