well, that depends. Stuart pointed at http://www.tei-c.org/release/xml/tei/schema/relaxng/tei.rng
whereas James pointed at http://www.tei-c.org/release/xml/tei/custom/schema/relaxng/tei_all.rng
which are not at all the same thing, oh no. One has an XSD equiv, the other doesn't.

enquiring minds will investigate http://www.tei-c.org/release/xml/tei/schema/relaxng/tei.rng
and work out what it is (clue: its not what you think)
