Precisely: so when you start talk about them within <sourceDoc> you should
point out the differences.I suggest to say. "The elements surface,
surfaceGrp, and zone were introduced above in section 11.1 Digital
Facsimiles. Please notice that when used within <souceDoc> the content of
<zone> is different...".

I think we were looking for an example of an opening. We discussed the
issue extensively in Paris and also decided to put an example in order to
give guidance (by the way on Friday I was at a conference where they
keynote insisted for 45 minutes on the relevance of the opening in
opposition to the page, so our would be very timely addition!).
Last week I proposed you an example with a zone spanning over the two
pages, but you discarded as too complicated. I have proposed you to chose
among three pages the one that was simple enough and you picked one this
one which now is not suitable. I'm trying to be helpful but I need you to
help me to help you, I fear...
