All,

Below is some information from Emily Cullen, my colleague at the DHO who
has been doing a lot of the arrangements for the Council meeting this
week. See you in a few days!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear TEI Council Members,

We are delighted that you will be joining us in Dublin this week.

*Accommodation:*
Your hotel is centrally located in Dublin's lively cultural quarter of
Temple Bar http://www.templebarhotel.com/locations-directions. Wifi is
available in your room free of charge. Please pay the EUR69 per night
fee on your own and save your receipt for reimbursement along with other
travel expenses.

*Travel to and from Dublin Airport:*
The Aircoach service, which leaves every fifteen minutes from Dublin
Airport, stops outside Trinity College on Grafton Street, which is
roughly a 10 minute walk to your hotel.

The Aircoach service to Dublin Airport stops at various city centre
locations, such as O'Connell St. and also outside Thomas Pink Shirt Shop
at the top of Dawson Street (St Stephen's Green end). Allow an hour for
your journey, though in non-peak hours the journey is significantly
shorter. For further information see www.aircoach.ie

*Directions to the Royal Irish Academy:*
It takes roughly 15 minutes to walk from your hotel to the Royal Irish
Academy. The best thing to do is to aim in the direction of College
Green and Trinity College, then follow the path around Trinity College
until you reach Nassau St. Next you will take the first turn on your
right (not Grafton St. but the next street over) up to Dawson St. and
Academy House is no. 19, which will be on your left in the centre of the
street.

The Royal Irish Academy website displays a small map which will show you
the location of Academy House (Dawson st) here:
http://www.ria.ie/about/location.html

*Dining arrangements:*
Your accommodation includes your breakfast, which will be served in the
dining room at The Temple Bar hotel between 7am and 10am each morning.

Lunch will be served at Academy House, 19 Dawson St, on Wednesday 28th
April at 13:00, on Thursday 29th April at 12:30 and on Friday at 12:30.

You are warmly invited to dinner at 6:30pm in Bleu restaurant, 2 Dawson
St., Dublin 2 www.bleu.ie on Wednesday evening and at 6:15pm in Eden
restaurant, Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
www.edenrestaurant.ie on Thursday evening.

*Other Tourist Information:*
The website of the Dublin Tourism office has plenty of information on
getting around the city, cultural events and activities, etc. See:
www.visitdublin.com/

We look forward to seeing you at the Symposium on Wednesday.

Kind regards,

Emily
