I don't know whether it's helpful or harmful for me to take a ticket 
that I created myself (perhaps something to add to 
http://wiki.tei-c.org/index.php/TEI-Council-FAQ ?), but I will try to 
present all arguments -- even Lou's -- fairly.  ;-)

FYI, Lou's short URL ( http://bit.ly/56dzWs ) only includes feature 
requests but not the three bug reports.
