But there are also floatingText's which *do* float, I'd say. Look for 
instance at the 'Related work' section on page 3 of this article: 
http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.66.2451&rep=rep1&type=pdf. 
To me this seems a prototypical floating floatingText.
