Yes, and not allowed because we expressly say it has to be an xpath2
pattern. Ok, we can't validate patterns (as far as I'm aware) but that
just means it is another thing determined by the prose of the guidelines.

Yes. You can't have <xsl:template match="concat('a, 'b')">.
But you can have <xsl:template match="tei:seg | tei:hi">. I've been
assuming we are saying that this attribute would only allow a single
pattern? Or could I do: <certainty target="#foo" match="@notBefore |
@notAfter"> or would I have to do two certainty elements?

I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to make sure we nail
down any objections/confusions that might arise.
