Looks good, Lou. I am so disappointed that the names and affiliations
are in plain text, instead of being automatically generated from a
<persName> with a ref= pointing to a <person> in the <teiHeader>.
Sigh. :-)

Real thoughts:

Seems to me the first sentence of para 2 is incorrect.

The TEI Council's Chair and one other member are nominated by the
Board of the TEI Consortium, with other members being elected for
periods of up to two years at a time.

>From the bylaws:

The TEI-C Council will consist of twelve members, ... The TEI-C
Council membership shall include the Chair of the TEI-C Board of
Directors and one other member, and may include such other
Directors or members as designated by the Board of Directors. The
Chair of the TEI-C Council will be designated by the Board of
   Directors.

This means to me that the Chair (currently Dan) is a Councilor; one
other member of the Consortium is appointed by the Board (so far
always appointed from among the Directors, currently Sebastian).
AFAIK the bylaws consider the Chair of the TEI-Consortium and the
Chair of the Board of Directors one and the same. So here's a
starting point for a re-write:

The Chair of the TEI Consortium is an ex officio member of the
Council, and the TEI Board of Directors appoints one TEI-C member
to the Council. The other ten members of the Council are elected
for two-year terms. The Board of Directors appoints the Chair of
the Council, typically from among its members.
