It's showing up in odd places: in ab, in l, not in p, not in s, not in
said, not in quote, not in q.

It seems to me that it should be at least in the q/quote/said, since
quotations are commonly split in texts; p at part would be useful since
they also occur in the wild: e.g. in HTML paragraphs interrupted by a
list or similar.

Is it not the case that most textual features can be split?
